It was finally over. She hit the end button on the glowing telephone screen, tucked it in her purse and let out a sigh. It was warm, breezy and dark outside the confines of the car. She could tell he hadn’t wanted to say goodbye. Would he cry?
She looked at the ring on her finger. A single tear slid down her cheek. Getting out of the car she wiped it away and walked towards the bar. A tall, dark, handsome man smiled at her.
“Who are you?” he asked
She smiled for what felt like the first time in quite a while.
“I’m new in town," she lied. "How nice of you to ask.”
